For the Bride

 You may know from looking at the kimono on the site, that the most magnificent of all Japanese kimono are ‘uchikake’ or wedding kimono; long silk robes, heavily encrusted with gold and silver embroidery of exotic birds and flowers.

 The Japanese use professional kimono-dressers to dress the bride as the process can be extremely complicated. In the West we can take a more relaxed approach. The bride can wear her chosen wedding dress and simply use the uchikake as a magnificent robe over it, as celebrity Lisa-Marie Presley did on her wedding day in 2006. Please click here to see how beautiful she looked! I can source uchikake in particular colours if you wish or you can choose from the regularly updated selection on the site. Imagine the photos....!

 For the Groom

 I can provide the traditional wedding garments for the groom: kimono, haori and hakama, and advise him on the proper way to wear them. Don't worry, they’re extremely comfortable to wear!

 For the Reception

 I can advise on dressing the table with a Japanese theme for the wedding-meal, as well as sourcing Japanese decorations and favours.

The Cost

 This is perhaps the best news of all.  It isn’t necessary to spend thousands on a graceful, stylish, and distinctive wedding. I have been a kimono specialist for some time now and with my knowledge of Japanese culture, I can respectfully adapt their traditions to provide a memorable wedding day with a beautifully dressed bride and groom, without breaking the bank.
