I give regular talks to sewing/quilting and women's groups about Japanese kimono and the fabrics used to make them.  I bring along lots of stock and there is plenty of opportunity to handle the fabrics, try on the kimono and of course, learn more about this fascinating area of textile history.  I strive to keep the tone informal and there are always lots of laughs along the way.
