Kimono silk 119

This is one of my current favourites - a deep, deep blue silk damask with a woven in pattern of 'lozenges' enclosing the most beautiful woven motifs of 'mon' (family crests).  This liquid-soft silk would have been produced for a formal kimono and it shows.  It's a crepe silk and the motifs are woven with satin threads giving the silk subtle glamour.   Ideal for a luxurious scarf or wrap for the evening, this silk is of first-rate quality and it shows.
