Kimono silk 200

This is one of four similar vintage silks that I am listing today.  They date from the 1960's and the designs are produced by putting stencils onto the fabric before it is finally woven, and painting dye through them, giving a slightly fuzzy edge to the motifs when it is finally woven, as in ikat fabrics.    This one has colourful abstract designs in lozenges against a deep chocolate brown background.  Ideal as a wall-hanging or for cushions.
