Handwoven kimono silk 071

This is a soft but rugged silk that has been handwoven in shades of grey, cream and tiny touches of yellow.  This silk would have been used to make field clothing, and so it is very hard-wearing and warm.  I love it for it's handspun, rustic look and it would make a lovely table-runner for a wood table, or a vest to wear with jeans or linen trousers.
