This is a jet black silk obi (kimono sash) with a marvellous woven design of Edo-period court ladies in their kimono.  The design is woven in glittering silver and pale green threads.  The obi is 163 inches(4.14 metres) long and is 12" (30.5 cms) wide.  It's in excellent condition.  Perfect for a table runner or it will match with many kimono.
