I love this silk haori with its smooth, jet-black background and the most wonderful hand-painted, quintesentially Japanese design of a root or bough with stylised blossoms. If you look at the close-up photographs you will see that some of the 'blossoms' have been hand-embroidered using bronze silk threads. The haori is lined with a white synthetic damask and it has never been worn and is in excellent condition. This haori is one for the collector as well as something lovely and unique to wear to an evening 'do'.
