Japanese kimono
All of our kimono are imported from Japan and are hand-sewn unless stated otherwise, as they have been for centuries. The kimono on the site date from the 1940's to current times. If you've never thought of wearing one before, have a look at our Gallery to see how they look. Imagine a hand-sewn, silk, unstructured jacket with the most elegant line and drape. Many of my customers come back again and again to buy another haori for a different outfit because they are so comfortable and easy to wear. Many of them have embroidered, handpainted or tie-dyed detail. The longer kimono make wonderful dressing-gowns or dramatic evening coats.
