I love this cotton with it's ecru background and delicate design in chocolate brown, which has been produced with the 'kasuri' (ikat) technique, a form of tie-dye whereby groups of warp and/or weft threads are gathered and tied at intervals to produce a resist. This fabric is a warp and weft ikat, meaning that the tiny design runs both ways, along the warp and along the weft. It has a lovely country look and feel, and is one of my current favourites.
